We are just beginning a remodeling project. The small room we are starting on literally has holes in the ceiling, holes in the floor, patched carpets, pieces of walls missing, and walls coming down. We estimate about 1 week and around $100 and it will be habitable again. It will be nice to finally be able to use that room. (Then we can start on the room that is really a mess for spring break.)
I’m not sure why it took us so long to get around to these repairs. I think in my mind it was too big of a project, too many excuses, too many things we didn’t know how to do, but when we actually started on it, it won’t be that bad. Go figure. I think sometimes it is only our own perception that makes something possible or impossible.
