Checking In

One of the first Sundays we were here I got an update from our bishop at home.  Apparently Elder Terry Wade, one of the 70, had done some random visits in our area, and that week and had chosen our ward to stop in on.  As he visited our local ward council, Katie’s condition was a main topic of concern.  To close the meeting Elder Wade offered a special prayer, which included a heartfelt petition on Katie’s behalf.

I was not surprised at all to learn that this special representative had been sent to check up on Katie.  I know that we have a Father in Heaven who is very mindful of the suffering of his children.  Especially these precious young ones.  A was comforted to hear about the visit, but I already knew Katie was in good hands, and that her Father would not forget her at this difficult time in her life.
