Miracles Defined

When I started this blog I wanted a format to express gratitude and appreciation for the power of God in my life.  I didn’t know why, but I knew it was supposed to be online.  I am a very private person, but felt strongly that it should be done this way anyhow.

I live a life that many would consider full of hardship.  At times I too succumb to despair.  By being more aware of the great power of God all around me, I not only obey His command, but strengthen my own faith, and give myself greater ability to act from faith rather than from fear.

I wanted to include the definition of a “miracle,” but was not sure what definition to use.  According to the dictionary, a miracle is defined as:

1  : an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs
2 : an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment
3: Christian Science : a divinely natural phenomenon experienced humanly as the fulfillment of spiritual law
None of those definitions quite suited the way I am using the word, so I decided to wait until I had more clarity and write a definition that better suited my usage.  Three months later I finally have my definition.
Miracle:  An evidence of God’s power to guide the affairs of mortal life for His Children’s benefit and growth.
It’s not too different than the dictionary ones, but it better suits the focus of these writings.
